Grape Soiree 2014: “Personal Sunshine”

This is the piece I donated to the 2014 Easter Seals’ Grape Soiree Art Auction in September.

“Personal Sunshine” is a fine silver pendant capturing a free-spinning sun-face with a golden patina between its layers.  It’s embellished with copper wrappings to embrace its warmth, accentuated with blue pearls and crystal dangles and silver charms to reflect the sky, and features a peek-a-boo fine silver mesh window in the back, on a 24″ s.s. chain.
Coordinating fine-silver earrings with copper wrappings complete the set.

Can’t Seem To Get Out Of The Studio (Don’t Want To…)

November is starting to pass by quickly.  Suddenly we’re over a week in.
The Holidays are approaching and so are all sorts of new ideas.

For the first time since metalworking class so many years ago, I’m trying enamels again.  This time on fine silver.  And, I’m loving it!

Fun stuff: enamel on fine silver

And then… I started building cages.  I can’t decide if I like them better empty or…

Empty cages...

…filled with pearls…

…or crystals.

It’s a good day to be in the studio!
